Effectiveness Duration
A single spray of this formulation would generally be effective for about 1 to 2 hours, depending on:
- Sweat and humidity levels
- Skin absorption
- Environmental conditions (wind, rain)
Reapplication is typically recommended every 1.5 to 2 hours, or sooner if sweating heavily or after swimming.

It is both Vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. It has only been tested on willing, happy humans.
What's the shelf life? Do I have to refrigerate Shoo Fly?
Our Shoo Fly! is preserved with an Eco-Certified Preservative. No, you don't need to refrigerate it. That being said, keep it in the shade when you're outdoors.
Is Shoo Fly! safe for sensitive skin?
All of the ingredients are natural and gentle. That being said, it's advisable to perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any adverse reactions, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Will it actually repel bugs?
Shoo Fly! has not been tested for bug repelling. However, Shoo Fly! is made with natural ingredients that many bugs do not like the smell or feel of. So, chances are high that they won't want to come near Shoo Fly!
